If you’re looking for a delicious French meal in a beautiful setting (and a waterfront view), Yaletown’s award-winning Provence Marinaside is one we tend to point people to. And upcoming Sunday, February 20th, is one you should keep extra notice of.
That’s because February 20th is their 20th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, they are offering a 20 percent discount on all food and beverages (yes – even their extensive wine list)!
And in Provence fashion, live music will be filling the restaurant during lunchtime (1PM – 4PM) and dinner time (6PM – 9PM) services by the Hip Pocket Trio.
As part of the celebration, the restaurant is highlighting their long-term staff members, many of who has been there since the beginning. Most people are aware that the food industry is notorious for high turnover rates, so having servers, managers, and staff sticking around for decades speaks volumes of the culture at Provence.
When asked what he thinks is why his staff stays at Provence, Chef Jean-Francis says it’s because “…when you care about your business it shows, and the staff like to be with someone who cares.”
When asked what compels them to stay at the restaurant all these years, longtime staff members like Assistant Manager Emrys Horton and Baker and Server Pauline, both mention a sense of family amongst the team as the main reason.
