One of Richmond’s beloved bubble waffle spots, Eggette House, has now soft-opened its newest Robson Street store.
We spotted the shop back in May and now our community members (@rosefoodfinds & @yvr_belly) have found it is now officially open.
It takes over the spot previously held by the bubble tea chain Machi Machi.
Known for their Hong Kong-style egg waffles, this is Eggette House’s second location in Metro Vancouver.
Eggette House first opened its doors in Richmond Public Market back in 2020.
Their goal?
To bring nostalgic, traditional snacks to the city.
Their menu features a variety of beloved Hong Kong treats, including bubble waffles, HK-style milk tea, and bean cube cakes.
When it comes to bubble waffles, Eggette House doesn’t hold back.
They offer over a dozen flavors, from the adventurous durian cheese and salted egg with pork floss to the classic banana.
But our top pick? The Portuguese egg tart flavour.
Their HK-style milk tea is another standout.
Made with fine Ceylon black tea and black and white light milk, it’s brewed to perfection. Plus, they use milk tea ice cubes, so your drink stays flavourful till the last sip.
The new Robson Street location promises to bring a slice of Hong Kong street food culture to downtown Vancouver.
The decor keeps it simple yet inviting, with a focus on creating a warm atmosphere perfect for enjoying these iconic snacks.
This expansion is a significant step for Eggette House, but they will face the challenge of high rents in downtown Vancouver.
