When it comes to Richmond food courts, Aberdeen Centre’s food court is likely one of the busiest, bustling with patrons at all hours.
Although it enjoys widespread popularity among both locals and visitors, it has seen few changes over the last decade since its opening, with only minor changes to the stalls.
It was not until recently that we noticed something new is coming to the food court.
In early March, the arcade located at the back of the food court was closed.
On a subsequent visit in late March, we saw that the area formerly occupied by the arcade had been boarded up and completely cleared.
A sign posted, “New bites coming soon! Prepare your taste journey! Stay hungry, stay excited! More selection, more choice!” indicating the introduction of potentially two new food court stalls is in works.
This development is exciting news for locals, promising new food options in the near future.
However, the food court already has a good variety of Japanese, Southeast Asian, Korean, and Chinese cuisine available.
So it will be interesting to see what will make its way to the Aberdeen food court, given the high prices a stall goes for on the market.
For now, no other information has been released about the new food court stalls.
Once we know more information, we’ll let you know.
