If you have been driving out to Vancouver or Burnaby just to get your acai fix, you can officially stop.

Richmond is finally getting its very own outpost of the purple superfood giant.

A Noms Magazine community member (apandafu) spotted coming soon signage for a new Oakberry location at the Galleria Concord Gardens building (beside Capstan Station).

The new shop is setting up right next to the upcoming Kiseki beauty store.

This marks the first-ever Richmond location for the brand, which already has locations in Vancouver and Burnaby.

For the uninitiated, Oakberry is a massive deal in the acai world.

Launched in 2016, they have grown into a global powerhouse with over 600 stores worldwide.

The brand is famous for keeping things “clean.”

They are renowned for using fresh, natural ingredients free from artificial dyes, preservatives, or syrups.

The menu is simple but effective, focusing entirely on acai bowls and smoothies.

You can expect their signature layering style with toppings like fresh fruits, granola, and chia seeds to add texture to the smooth acai base.

The Galleria building seems to be filling up quickly.

Alongside Oakberry and Kiseki, we previously spotted signage for a mysterious new bakery cafe called Pocorit on the ground floor.

While other units nearby have been tagged as “leased,” the tenants for those remain a mystery for now.

There is no official launch date just yet, but the “Coming Soon” signage is loud and proud.

Oakberry joins a stacked lineup of upcoming food spots in Richmond, including Hey Yearn Restaurant, Breka Bakery at Richmond Centre, and Marugame Udon.
