Vancouverโs newest dessert cafe has officially entered the chat.
Last month, we shared that Daan Go, the whimsical Asian bakery from MasterChef Canada winner Christopher Siu, is expanding to Vancouver.
Founded in Toronto in 2017 by MasterChef Canada Season 7 winner Christopher Siu, Daan Go has since expanded to four locations in Ontario and one in Richmond, which opened in 2023.
And now the brand-new Vancouver location has soft opened as of August 8.

Located inside the Diamond Robinson Building, the new space was formerly home to Skript Kitchen, who passed the torch (and equipment) to Chris before relocating to Mount Pleasant.
Unlike their Richmond boutique, this outpost leans into a relaxed and more compact cafe.
It is complete with minimal seating, soft tones, and a steady hum of customers lining up for a sweet fix.
The interior is warm and casual, with playful pops of yellow and cute cake box displays catching the eye as soon as you step in.
This shop is also a collaboration with Richmondโs Fresh Press Coffee.
So youโll find a drink menu featuring everything from Uji matcha lattes to mango matcha cream and even strawberry hibiscus drinks to pair with your cake.
The pastry case is stacked with Daan Go fan favourites like the Vietnamese Coffee Tiramisu, the ultra-popular Tira-Meow-Su, and character macarons with designs like bears and frogs.
Whole cakes and single slices are also available for those last-minute celebrations or thoughtful pickups.
The grand opening is set for August 15 and it comes with a treat.
From August 15 to 17, everything in-store will be 20% off as part of the celebration.
Daan Go Vancouver now joins a fresh wave of exciting new spots in the city including Just Another Mount Pleasant, Hanoi Drip on East Broadway, and handson Steak.
