One of Vancouverโs highly rated bubble tea brands is shutting down its final remaining storefront.
Baroness will officially close its West Broadway store on October 31, 2025.
The news was announced via a heartfelt Instagram post on October 22, where the team behind Baroness thanked customers for their support over the past six years.
They invite fans to visit before the doors close for good.
Baroness first opened in 2019 and quickly became a favourite among bubble tea lovers for its rich brown sugar drinks and chewy, housemade pearls.
It was also among the first in the city to offer oat milk as a dairy-free alternative, a move that helped build a loyal following.
With a 4.7-star rating online, the shop was often praised for its consistency and high-quality ingredients.
The brand briefly expanded in 2023 with a second location on Denman Street, but that shop closed in 2024.

Now, the West Broadway closure marks the end of Baronessโs time in Vancouver.
The announcement reflects a broader trend in the cityโs food and beverage scene.
In recent years, several well-known Taiwanese bubble tea chains have scaled back or exited the Metro Vancouver market entirely.
Brands like YiFang and Machi Machi have ceased operations, raising questions about whether the local bubble tea market is still viable.
Rising costs and increased competition have made it harder for even popular chains to stay afloat.
Baroness now joins a growing list of recent food business closures in Vancouver, including The Juice Truck Yaletown, Mister in Kitsilano, and Potluck Hawker Eatery.
The final day of service at Baroness will be October 31, offering one last chance for customers to stop by and say goodbye.
