As spring makes the days longer and the cherry blossoms continue to bloom in Vancouver, it also unfortunately marks the end of an era for the beloved coffee shop and breakfast joint, Novella.
Located along Main Street, Novella’s parent group – Boxset Collective -announces they’re winding down the coffee shop’s service on April 7, 2024.
Boxset Collective, known for its eclectic and award-winning establishments like Published on Main and Bar Susu, has always been at the forefront of Vancouver’s culinary evolution.
Boxset Collective Co-founder Cody Allmin shares, “The decision to close Novella is bittersweet. Our journey with our loyal guests, delving deep into the nuances of coffee culture, has been nothing short of remarkable.”
Back in July 2023, Bar Susu held pop-ups at Novella due to the devasting fire that happened in their building.
Although Novella may be winding down service, the team at Boxset Collective teased that they’re working on another concept set to take over the space.
With their track record of curating unique dining experiences, there’s no doubt that they’ll have something special and innovative in works.
