If YOP drinkable yogurt is a regular item in your fridge, you will want to double check your bottles today.

A new Canada-wide recall has been issued for 10+ flavours of Yoplait’s YOP drinkable yogurt because the product may contain small pieces of plastic.

The recall was announced on November 22 and was triggered directly by the company.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the affected items have been pulled from the marketplace and should not be consumed or served.

There have been no reported injuries so far, but officials are urging Canadians to take the warning seriously.

The recall is part of an ongoing food safety investigation.

The CFIA is currently verifying that distributors and retailers have removed all affected products from shelves, and they note that additional recalls may follow if necessary.

For now, the safest step is simple.

Do not drink the recalled YOP yogurt and do not give it to children or anyone else.
