It looks like Vancouverโ€™s clam chowder game is leveling up once again.

After a pop-up that stole hearts last fall and a full transition from Shameless Buns to Jackโ€™s Chowder on Fraser Street, owners Matt and Corvette are making another bold move.

The duo announced on Instagram that they are opening a second Jackโ€™s Chowder, this time inside Bentall Centre in downtown Vancouver.

Taking over the former Triple Oโ€™s stall in the upper concourse, the new location is expected to open in mid to late October.

Unlike the cozy, nostalgic Fraser Street shop, this outpost is being designed with the busy downtown crowd in mind.

The team hinted it will be more โ€œlunch friendlyโ€ while still serving up their signature chowder and cheeky seafood bites.

For those who missed the story the first time around, Jackโ€™s Chowder was born from the coupleโ€™s love of road trips down the coast, the kind that end in seaside shacks with bowls of creamy New England clam chowder.

Their take on the classic comes in a sourdough bread bowl, topped with Crack Onโ€™s bacon and finished with a drizzle of lobster oil.

They even import oyster crackers from the U.S. to get the experience just right.

Their menu doesnโ€™t stop at chowder either. Expect items like Dill Pickle Popcorn Shrimp, Salt & Vinegar Fries, and their grown-up version of the Filet-O-Fish. Itโ€™s all designed to be comforting, playful, and packed with flavor.

In their announcement, Matt and Corvette reflected on the journey so far. โ€œHonestly, it is beyond surreal that our little dream is expanding. This location fell into our laps and we couldnโ€™t say no,โ€ they shared.

They called the switch from Shameless Buns to Jackโ€™s Chowder โ€œthe hail mary that saved our butts,โ€ adding that expansion had always been the goal, and this was the โ€œcrazy moveโ€ to make it happen.

Jackโ€™s Chowder at Bentall Centre now joins a growing list of new food spots set to open in Vancouver, including TOUK, SUD SOI, and Slo Coffee Downtown.
