That struggle is officially over for the office workers and locals in the area.
After months of anticipation, Peaked Pies has finally opened its doors at 732 West Broadway.
The doors opened earlier this month, on November 11th, bringing a serious dose of Aussie comfort food to the neighbourhood.
This marks the fourth location in British Columbia for the beloved Aussie pie shop.
It takes over the former Seven 32 Nail and Spa unit, filling a space that had been sitting empty since 2022.

These aren’t the sad, frozen pies you buy at the grocery store.
The concept was born in Whistler from a romance between an Aussie girl and a Canadian boy.
She missed the pies from back home, he knew how to bake, and a business was born.
The menu at the new Broadway spot mirrors the favourites that made their West End location famous.
You can keep it safe with the Traditional Aussie, packed with ground beef, onions, and gravy.
Or you can embrace the chaos and order The Hopper, which features actual kangaroo meat in a cabernet merlot balsamic reduction.
But the real reason locals love this spot is for the “Peaked” experience.
You can upgrade any pie by piling it high with mashed potatoes, mushy green peas, and a ladle of gravy.
It is messy, heavy, and exactly what you need to survive a rainy Vancouver winter.
The cafe also serves proper Australian-style coffee, including flat whites that will put the nearby chains to shame.
Peaked Pies joins a wave of exciting Vancouver new food spots that have recently opened, including Dante on Commercial Drive and Kagura in Kitsilano.
