If you’re a tiramisu fan, you’ll like this news!
A new dessert shop is setting up across from Metropolis at Metrotown, and it is betting everything on a single classic.
We spotted opening soon signs for Tiramisu Republic up at 4611 Kingsway in Burnaby, taking over the long-empty Ricey Yogurt unit.

The storefront windows are papered up, but the signage already gives a clear idea of what to expect.
Underneath the logo, which features a layered tiramisu graphic, the tagline reads “one dessert, many flavours.”
That suggests Tiramisu Republic will be a dedicated tiramisu shop offering the Italian dessert in a range of different flavour variations, rather than a full dessert menu.

A tiramisu-only shop would be a first for the Burnaby area.
Not much else is known about the concept at this point.
The brand has an Instagram account up and running, where it states the shop is slated to open this spring.
An official website also exists but is still empty, so no menu details or pricing have been shared yet.
There is no word yet on whether the tiramisu will be served as individual cups, slices, or in some other format.
The Kingsway location puts the shop right in the heart of the Metrotown area, one of the busiest retail and dining corridors in the Lower Mainland.
Foot traffic from Metropolis shoppers alone gives any new food spot here a built-in audience.
We will update this story as more details become available, including the full menu and an exact opening date.
Tiramisu Republic is now one of several upcoming food spots in Burnaby including Money Foods Ent., Memory Corner, and Chill Plate Foodie Market.
