It Didn’t Last: The Dessert Spot That Took Over Beard Papa’s is Empty Again

It seems like the wave of closures in Richmond is not stopping anytime soon.

We spotted a farewell notice taped to the door of T+ Patisserie.

The dessert shop, located at 5951 No. 3 Road, has officially shut down.

A note posted on the front entrance announces that the location was transferred to a new owner as of Saturday, November 1st, 2025.

The announcement is a bit confusing for those who follow the local food scene closely.

The sign thanks customers for supporting them “throughout the past 18 wonderful years”.

However, T+ Patisserie only opened at this specific unit back in 2023.

It took over the space previously occupied by the legendary Beard Papa’s, which had a strong run there from 2015 until 2022.

While T+ Patisserie tried to keep the cream puff tradition alive with similar offerings, the vibe was noticeably different.

According to various Google Reviews, the space often felt oddly disorganized, with boxes piling around.

They also removed the seating that was previously there during the Beard Papa era, making it strictly a grab-and-go operation.

This closure marks another hit to the Richmond food scene this month.

T+ Patisserie now joins a growing list of recently shuttered spots, including the T&T Supermarket at ORA and Bengong’s Tea.
