It seems another independent cafe has quietly disappeared from Downtown Vancouver.
Little Cafe on Robson, the small but stylish downtown spot known for bringing New Yorkโs viral supreme croissants to Vancouver, appears to have officially shut down after two years in business.
The closure comes months after the cafe was listed for sale back in November 2024 for $369,000.
At the time, the listing promoted Little Cafe as a turnkey opportunity with a loyal customer base and a strong downtown location.
Despite the sale announcement, the cafe continued operating for half a year without any visible changes.
That is, until now.
A Noms Magazine community member (Yum Chah) first noticed the cafeโs doors closed and lights off during regular hours in mid-September.
Multiple check-ins over the following weeks revealed the same sight โ doors locked, lights off, and no signs of activity.
The cafeโs website now redirects to a 404 error page, and its Instagram account has been inactive since May.
Though there has been no official statement from ownership, itโs likely that the cafe either shut down permanently in early August or is in the middle of transitioning to a new owner.
Little Cafe first opened in 2022 and quickly stood out for its sleek aesthetic and trendy offerings, becoming one of the first Vancouver cafes to serve the viral โsupreme croissantโ that took social media by storm.
It was also a popular stop during the cityโs annual Hot Chocolate Festival, known for creative seasonal drinks and long queues of dessert lovers.
However, operating on Robson Street โ one of the cityโs most expensive retail corridors โ has proven difficult for many small businesses.
As rent costs soar and economic pressures weigh down local operators, turnover continues to reshape the streetโs once-thriving cafe scene.
Little Cafe on Robson now joins other recently closed Vancouver food spots like Momono Tea Shop, Yum Sweet Shop Kitsilano, and Limegee Downtown.
