Affordable Hidden Downtown Vancouver Korean Noodle Shop Closes

For those who enjoy some cheap, affordable Korean eats, here’s some bad news.

Oyo Noodles has officially bowed out—again.

The affordable Korean noodle shop that made waves for its $9.99 noodle bowls has now closed, leaving budget-conscious foodies in Downtown Vancouver down a spot.

If you remember, Oyo first popped up inside Pokerrito back in January 2024, instantly earning a following for serving up delicious, no-frills noodles at a price that felt too good to be true.

And apparently, it was.

By April, Oyo had abruptly shut down, leaving fans wondering if they’d ever see those budget-friendly bowls again.

Then in August, Oyo made a surprise comeback, tweaking its hours but keeping its beloved menu intact.

Lunchtime was strictly to-go only, and dinner service let customers grab a seat inside Pokerrito.

For a few glorious months, things seemed to be back on track.

But now, just months later, it looks like Oyo has quietly shuttered.

The sign is gone, the Instagram page has been updated to say “CLOSED,” and there’s no indication of what’s next.

For those who got to experience Oyo’s Market Noodles, Sweecy Noodles, and Soyo Noodles, consider yourselves lucky.

While no official announcement has been made, it’s safe to say that the hunt for cheap eats in Downtown just got a little harder.
