Tiny 4.9 Star Rated Cafe ‘Estratto Coffee’ Reopens in New Downtown Vancouver Location

After closing its Mount Pleasant location last December, Estratto Coffee is officially back!

But this time in Downtown Vancouver.

Owner Simone, who captured the hearts of the Mount Pleasant coffee community with his intimate micro-roastery and obsession with quality, has reopened Estratto in a new, equally cozy location earlier this month.

Back in December 2024, Simone shared that his Mount Pleasant closure wasn’t a forever goodbye, just “see you soon.”

Now, just five months later, the 4.9 star rated cafe made good on that promise.

And yes, the magic is still very much intact.

Estratto’s new home features the same minimalist charm that made the original shop so special.

There are just a handful of tables, a small espresso counter, floral wallpapered walls, and a curated space that feels more like a living room than a café.

Think wooden furniture, leafy plants, a shelf of vinyls and books, and even a gramophone for extra character.

The updated space might be compact, but it’s loaded with warmth and caffeine.

The menu remains tight and to the point, handwritten on a mirror next to the counter.

You’ll find all of Simone’s tried-and-true staples: espresso, flat whites, pour-overs, cortados, and more.

Every cup is still brewed with beans roasted in-house.

On our visit, we also spotted baked goods in the display case, like a fluffy bun topped with creamy matcha and crushed pistachio.

Estratto’s downtown location is now open Monday to Friday from 8AM to 4PM, and Saturdays from 9AM to 3PM.

Estratto may be in a new neighbourhood, but it still feels homey as before!
