If you have ever sprinted through a SkyTrain station craving something sweet, Richmond finally has the answer.
Trees Organic Coffee and Cheesecake has officially opened at Capstan Station and locals are already peeking inside to see if the legendary Vancouver cheesecake hits the same outside the city.

For years, Richmond residents had to cross a bridge for a slice.
We all knew the brand was expanding, but it still felt surreal when Trees confirmed on November 19 that the Capstan station outpost was open for real.
This is the first Richmond location for the long-running cafe chain that started in Vancouver in 1996.
The move fits their recent pattern of opening near transit hubs, which makes sense because nothing pairs better with a commute than coffee and cheesecake.
Walking into the new café, the first thing you notice is how bright it feels.

The space has big glass walls, clean lines, and soft lighting that makes the room glow even on a grey day.
The counters sit low and open, which puts the pastry case right at eye level.
You can see whole cheesecakes lined up beside cookies, loaves, and slices that feel like they are waiting for someone to point and say yes, that one.

The menu board hangs above the espresso setup with familiar picks like cappuccinos, iced lattes, Spanish lattes, and cold brew.
The drink selection looks similar to their other locations so regulars will feel right at home.
The pastry case also shows fruit loaves, matcha-inspired sweets, and the chocolate espresso cheesecake that Trees fans swear by.
The seating wraps around the window line with simple black stools and long counters.
It feels like a spot made for quick coffee breaks, quiet laptop time, or those accidental long chats that happen when you run into someone you know on the Canada Line.
Trees entering the neighborhood almost feels like a small milestone.
It signals that Capstan Station is turning into a mini hub where commuters can slow down for a moment and grab something warm or sweet.
This opening also comes during a noticeable wave of new Richmond food spots.
Places like 88 Malaysian Crystal BBQ, Max’s To Go, and Prunus have all arrived recently, giving locals more to explore in Richmond area.
If you have been waiting to try their cheesecake without crossing the river, now is your moment.
