It seems like The Lunch Lady on Commercial Drive is officially the place to be if you are a famous comedian visiting Vancouver.
Two more comedy heavyweights were just spotted dining at the popular Vietnamese restaurant.
The Lunch Lady team recently shared a photo on their Instagram Story showing Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng posing with the staff in the dining room.
The two were dining in with their tour crew.
The duo looked relaxed and happy, taking a break from what is arguably one of the most unique tours to hit the city.
Minhaj and Chieng were in town for their joint tour, “HASAN HATES RONNY | RONNY HATES HASAN.”
This isn’t your typical “best friends on vacation” co-headline situation.
The tour is billed as a night where the two “despise one another” and air their grievances onstage about America, their families, and each other.
It is a one-night-only roast fest that is hitting 19 cities, and Vancouver was lucky enough to be on the list.
It is no surprise they picked The Lunch Lady for their pit stop.
Since opening in 2020, the restaurant has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand and built a reputation for serving incredible noodle soups and modern Vietnamese dishes.
It balances casual vibes with serious food, which seems to be the exact formula touring celebrities are looking for.
This is actually the second time in recent months that A-list comedians have flocked to this specific restaurant.
Back in September, locals were buzzing when Zach Galifianakis, Jason Mantzoukas, and John Mulaney were all spotted grabbing a meal there.
At this point, if you see a comedian announces a Vancouver tour date, you might as well book a table at The Lunch Lady for the same night.
It is clearly the unofficial green room for the comedy world right now.
