If you have been eating your way through Richmond’s food courts over the past couple of years, you have probably noticed One Cafe.
Well, the popular Hong Kong-style cafe chain is expanding yet again.
We spotted coming soon signage for a third One Cafe location up at Lansdowne Centre food court.

The new stall is taking over the unit previously occupied by Villa Vietnamese, which quietly closed its doors not long ago.
For anyone who has been following One Cafe’s rise, this expansion is not a surprise.
The brand first opened at Parker Place food court back in 2023.
It quickly became one of the more talked-about stalls in the building, drawing regulars with its affordable Hong Kong-style comfort food.

A second location followed at Empire Centre, just a short walk up the same stretch of No 3 Road.
Now, with Lansdowne Centre in the mix, the chain will have three outposts along the No 3 Road corridor.
If you have not tried One Cafe before, the menu is built around the classics you would find at a cha chaan teng in Hong Kong.
Iconic dishes like baked pork chop on rice, beef brisket noodles, and all-day breakfast combos with options like satay beef or spicy pork cubes served with your choice of macaroni, vermicelli, or instant noodles.

Best of all, most items hover below or around $15.
It is partly why both One Cafe and ChaDon – another popular HK style cafe stall – have such long lines.
But choosing to open in Lansdowne Centre is an interesting one, considering all the talks about the mall’s looming redevelopment.
And one thing is for sure, One Cafe’s entrance into the Lansdowne food court will be a blow to Grill King and Bubble Waffle Cafe.
It will be a big win for those who frequent the food court though (a lot of aunties and uncles).

As for an opening date, the One Cafe team is keeping that under wraps for now.
“As much as we’d enjoy dropping a dramatic ‘mark your calendars’ moment, we’re going to have to keep the official opening date under wraps just a little longer,” the team told Noms Magazine.
They added that their “league of all-star chefs is working at full throttle behind the scenes, fine-tuning, tasting, and probably arguing passionately over the perfect garnish.”
So no firm date yet, but the signage is up and the renos are clearly in motion.
One Cafe Lansdowne now joins other upcoming food spots in Richmond like Kokoro Mazesoba RC, Loon Fong Hotpot, and Horin Ramen.
