The hottest self-serve hot pot brand in town, Big Way Hot Pot, is continuing its rapid expansion across Metro Vancouver!
Just last month, we shared the exciting news about their upcoming Coquitlam outpost, and now, Big Way has officially revealed the location of their first New Westminster spot on Instagram.
This new Big Way Hot Pot will be right at New Westminster SkyTrain Station, taking over the former Hub Restaurant unit (above Safeway).
The Hub Restaurant closed its doors earlier this Summer.
The New Westminster location will be larger than their Burnaby and Richmond spots.
While we can’t reveal the details just yet, we’ve been told that it will feature something special that’s sure to delight locals.

Big Way Hot Pot has been winning hearts since it first opened on Kingsway in 2021, thanks to the vision of a seasoned mom-and-pop duo with deep roots in the hot pot world.
Their experience shines through in every detail, especially in their popular pick-and-choose style that lets customers craft their perfect meal.
With over 100 fresh ingredients on offer, from seafood to veggies and noodles, there’s something for everyone.
The New Westminster location is slated to open in October 2024, just in time for the colder, wetter fall season—a perfect time to cozy up with a hot pot.
In the same announcement, Big Way also provided an update on their UBC location, which is now pushed back to open in September instead of August.
Big Way Hot Pot has quickly become the city’s fav hot pot brand, often drawing large crowds during prime dining hours.
Their rapid expansion around Metro Vancouver—and even into Los Angeles—speaks to their ongoing success and the love locals have for this brand.
When asked about franchising, the owners of Big Way shared with Noms Magazine that they prefer not to go that route.
They want to ensure the service and quality remain up to their high standards, something that can often slip with franchising.
