Back in August 2024, we shared the sad news that Boiling Point, the OG hot pot spot, had quietly closed its Main Street location.
At the time, we spotted a closure notice on its doors and the unit was up for sale for $368,000 for the 1,600 square-foot space.
Well, here’s a plot twist for you—that Boiling Point is officially back in business.
The Boiling Point team has told Noms Magazine that they reopened their Main Street location as of Monday, February 10.
Boiling Point first opened its doors in 2004 in California before expanding to Canada in 2010, quickly becoming a fave for its Taiwanese Hot Pots.
The Main Street location itself opened back in 2018.
“Our Vancouver store closed last year due to management changes, but we’re excited to reopen and reconnect with the community. We’d love to share this great news with everybody!” Boiling Point shared.
To celebrate their return, Managing Director Dylan Chou shared that they’re offering a BOGO deal on all hot soups and drinks at the Main Street location from February 21 to February 23.
So if you’ve been craving their signature hot pot or a classic Hokkaido milk tea, now’s the time to gather your friends and double up.
And given all the closure notices happening around the city, this reopening is some good news for Vancouver’s food scene.
