After Years Away, This Iconic Ice Cream Chain Has Finally Returned to Richmond

If you grew up in Richmond, you know the pain of the “Broadmoor void.”

Ever since the local Baskin Robbins at Broadmoor Plaza closed years ago, we’ve been living in a 31-flavour drought.

Sure, we have great gelato spots, but sometimes you just need that specific neon pink spoon and a scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge.

Well, the drought is officially over.

After quietly putting up signage this summer, the world’s most famous ice cream chain has finally opened its doors in Ironwood Plaza.

You can find the new shop at 11666 Steveston Hwy, taking over the unit that used to house Kumon.

For reference, it is right next to Pho 37 (which means your post-pho dessert plans are now sorted).

This isn’t a sit-down café vibe; it’s designed for the grab-and-go crowd.

The interior is bright, modern, and features a massive “Be Bolder” mural that you’ll definitely see on Instagram stories.

The dipping cabinets are fully stocked with the childhood classics you’re looking for.

We’re talking tubs of Mint Chocolate Chip, Rocky Road, and Peanut Butter ’n Chocolate ready to go.

If you are scrambling for a last-minute birthday treat, the “Cakery” fridge is already full.

It is stacked with their signature ice cream cakes, including the Oreo and Cappuccino Blast versions.

This opening turns Ironwood Plaza into a serious dessert contender.

With Crumbl Cookies also confirmed to be opening here soon, this strip mall is quickly becoming the “Sugar District” of Richmond.

You can check out the new Baskin Robbins daily from 11 AM to 10 PM.

Baskin Robbins Ironwood now joins other recently opened food spots in Richmond like Enishi Japanese Kitchen, Yang’s Dumpling, and Baking Factory.
