Vancouver’s Popular Italian Sandwich Shop Just Opened Its Third Location Downtown

One of Vancouver’s fastest-growing sandwich brands just added another location to its lineup, and this time it is inside one of downtown’s biggest office complexes.

Dante Italian Sandwich is now open inside Bentall Centre at 505 Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver.

We spotted signs for this location back in November 2025.

The brand shared the opening news on Instagram on February 25, posting a video of the new space with the caption “CIAO, BENTALL.”

This is the third location for Dante, which first opened on Robson Street back in November 2024 and expanded to Commercial Drive shortly after.

The Bentall spot is located in the Lower Concourse at Suite 501, right across from Taco Nori, and is open on weekdays from 11am to 4pm or until sold out.

Unlike a typical food court counter, the new 600 sq.ft. space has its own seating area with some tables and chairs.

The interior carries the same look as the other locations, with checkered tile floors, warm wood accents, and the signature Italian hand gesture art prints lining the walls.

There is a glass display counter up front where the team assembles sandwiches to order, and a digital menu board behind the register.

Dante is all about the schiacciata sandwiches.

Schiacciata is a traditional Tuscan bread that is hand-pressed, thinner and crispier than regular focaccia, but still has enough chew to hold everything together.

Note that these aren’t thin sandwiches, and they will fill you up well.

The menu features seven signature sandwiches built on that bread, plus three grilled options.

The Italiana, made with prosciutto crudo, truffle mayo, stracciatella cheese, and arugula, has been a fan favourite since day one.

The Mortazza, loaded with mortadella, stracciatella cheese, basil mayo, arugula, and pistachio crumble, is another popular pick.

There is also a formaggi grilled cheese made with mozzarella, provolone, and taleggio for anyone who just wants melted cheese on crispy bread.

Dante is the work of brothers Dom and Frank Morra, the same family behind Via Tevere Pizzeria, Il Saltimbocca, and Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza.

Via Tevere on Commercial Drive has long been considered one of Vancouver’s best Neapolitan pizza spots, so the Morra brothers had a built-in reputation well before Dante even opened its doors.

The brand has moved quickly since launching just over a year ago.

Three locations in roughly 15 months is a fast pace for an independent restaurant group in Vancouver, especially one that does not franchise.

The Bentall Centre location is a smart play for the office lunch crowd.

Thousands of office workers pass through the complex every weekday, and the “until sold out” model suggests they are not trying to stretch the bread thin.

Dante Bentall joins other recently opened food spots in Vancouver like Peace and Culture Coffee in Strathcona, The Hungry Duck in Kitsilano, and ChaTraMue on West Broadway.
