It looks like one of Vancouver’s most popular Italian sandwich shops is expanding yet again.
During a recent walk through Bentall Centre, we spotted new signage announcing that Dante Italian Sandwich is coming to the lower food court, right across from Taco Nori.
This move marks a surprising but exciting milestone for the Tuscan inspired brand.
It will be their second downtown Vancouver location, joining their hugely popular Robson Street shop across from the Central Library.
If you’ve been anywhere near that area at lunchtime, you already know how chaotic the lineups can get.
The expansion into Bentall Centre makes perfect sense.
Thousands of people work in the surrounding towers, and the neighbourhood has been craving more independent, higher quality lunch options.
The new signage states that the Bentall Dante is slated to open in early 2026.
While this location hasn’t even been announced by Dante, it’s likely the shop will serve the full lineup of schiacciata sandwiches that made them famous.
Expect the same crisp and chewy bread, loaded with Italian cold cuts, house roasted veggies, and generous layers of fresh mozzarella.
This isn’t the only store the Dante team is working on.
Back in September, we shared that the brand is also preparing to open a location on Commercial Drive, right beside Saki Maki.
With that one already in progress, Dante is now on track for a three store run.
Just this week, Jack’s Chowder opened its new downtown stall on the upper food court level of Bentall Centre.
With Dante arriving downstairs next year, the complex is shaping up to be a pretty good food destination for office workers.
Dante Bentall now joins a growing list of upcoming Vancouver food spots like Jo’s Italian Deli Main, Goldie’s Fraser, and Dave’s Hot Chicken.
