Longtime Japanese Korean Fusion Restaurant To Soft Open New Vancouver Location This Week

Back in November, we shared that a beloved local gem is again expanding with a new location!

That gem is Green Leaf Sushi, which announced on its Instagram its fourth location, this time along Kingsway.

Green Leaf Sushi will be taking over the previous Hot Pot Master spot that quietly shuttered its doors recently.

Today they shared that the new location will be soft opening on Thursday, Dec. 19th!

For many locals, Green Leaf is likely a familiar name.

The restaurant first opened back in 2012 in a tiny, humble unit on West Broadway, focusing mainly on sushi and a few appetizers.

Despite its modest beginnings, Green Leaf garnered a loyal following, leading them to expand their presence.Photo credits: therichwon

Their Burnaby Lougheed location was the first to showcase a larger menu, offering a blend of Japanese and Korean fusion dishes like the Tornado Omurice, Mentaiko Cream Linguine, and more.

But of course, their signature Aburi platter was always well-loved by many.

In 2022, Green Leaf ventured over to the North Shore, further extending its reach across Metro Vancouver.

Now, locals along Kingsway will get their chance to taste what Green Leaf has to offer.

Based on their previous expansions, our guess is that this new location will be similar to the Lougheed outpost, featuring an expanded menu and a modern dining atmosphere.

Green Leaf will be joining Yuki Cafe as the new food spots along Kingsway.
