Claypot rice on a pizza. Yes, someone actually did it.
Just Pizza, the Kingsway pizza shop known for its adventurous monthly specials, has launched a Claypot Rice Pizza as its March feature.
It is available from March 1 through 31 and it costs $23.
The announcement reel on Instagram has already pulled in over 1,100 likes, and the comments are exactly what you would expect.
“I have always said this… lapcheong on pizza would hit. Thank u for making this real,” one fan wrote, racking up 25 likes.
“Need to order this for my parents who need a side of rice with everything,” another commented.
The pizza starts with a garlic white sauce base and mozzarella, then gets topped with chicken, Chinese sausage, braised shiitake mushrooms, scallions, toasted rice, and a drizzle of sweet soy sauce.
It is built on Just Pizza’s signature sourdough crust.
The special was created by a team member named Alicia, who got a shoutout in the announcement post.

The shop at 1629 Kingsway has built a following for putting out monthly specials that nobody else would dare try.
Past creations have included a sisig pizza inspired by the Filipino pork dish, a turkey dinner pizza, and a pork floss milk crust pizza.
They also have a permanent Filipino Breakfast pizza with longganisa, sunny side up egg, and pickled red onions on the menu.
The Claypot Rice Pizza fits right into that lineup.
Claypot rice is a traditional Cantonese dish typically made with rice, Chinese sausage, and meat cooked in a clay pot over high heat, finished with a sweet soy sauce.
The fact that someone translated that into pizza form is the kind of thing that gets people talking.
The Claypot Rice Pizza is only available until March 31, so if you want to try it, do not wait too long.
