Looks like Fraser Street is getting a sweet new addition from across the bridge.

We spotted coming soon signage for Goldie’s Donut & Bakery at the former Penang Bistro space on Fraser Street, which shut down earlier this summer.

Known for its Korean-style cream-filled brioche donuts, Goldie’s first made waves after opening in the Horseshoe Bay area back in 2024.

The brand originally began in Korea before bringing its signature fluffy donuts and cozy cafe vibe to Canada.

Goldie’s isn’t just about sweets, it’s about joy.

The shop’s story is inspired by the owners’ golden retriever, Goldie, who represents the unconditional happiness and warmth they hope every guest feels when walking through their doors.

The team says their goal is to make each visit as comforting and heartwarming as being greeted by a happy dog.

Now that is good vibes right there.

This summer, Goldie’s expanded to Langley and also began offering their donuts at Moodbe Cafe on East Broadway.

But this new opening will mark their first full-scale Vancouver location and it’s shaping up to be a big one.

Taking over both the former Penang Bistro and the adjoining dessert shop unit, the upcoming Goldie’s seems to be a spacious cafe.

And likely it will be featuring plenty of seating along with their full menu of drinks, donuts, and baked goods.

There hasn’t been an official announcement from Goldie’s yet, but the signage is up.

Once an opening date is confirmed, we’ll be sure to share the details.

Goldie’s Vancouver now joins other upcoming food spots like Dave’s Hot Chicken, Amber Kissa, and Jeju Vancouver.
