Back in May, we reported that Kyochon Chickenโ€™s first Canadian location on Robson Street was up for sale, less than a year after opening.

Now, it looks like the end has officially come for the Korean fried chicken chainโ€™s short-lived run in the West End.

A Noms Mag community member (tremlive) recently spotted signs of the closure, and when we stopped by over the long weekend, it was clear the spot was done.

Boxes were piled up by the entrance, the interior looked stripped down, and a handwritten note taped to the door confirmed the news: โ€œWe are closing our doors permanently. We deeply appreciate your support and the memories weโ€™ve shared. Thank you!โ€

Kyochon first landed on Robson in July 2024, taking over the former Pizza Maru unit.

Known globally for its double-fried chicken and signature flavours like soy garlic, spicy red, honey, and salsal, the brand had built strong hype leading up to its Canadian debut.

It even held a solid 4.6-star rating on Google, with plenty of fans praising its crispy chicken and combo sets.

Despite that, the Robson location didnโ€™t last.

This marks another major change for the West End, a neighbourhood that has seen a high turnover of restaurants in recent years.

Kyochon now joins the list of recent closures across the city, including 911 Pizza, Bao Down, and Karmony Cake House.
