It’s time to mark your calendars because Marugame Udon has finally shared an update after our first initial report back in November 2022.
According to the Marugame Udon team, they’ll be bringing its udon to Downtown Vancouver this winter.
Who’s Marugame Udon?
Hailing from Japan, Marugame Udon isn’t just another noodle spot; it’s a global giant with a massive following. Established in the year 2000, this udon empire has crossed oceans to serve us their signature Sanuki-style udon.
The name Marugame Udon has become a synonym for thick, chewy, and perfectly firm noodles – a taste that’s treasured back in Japan’s Kagawa Prefecture.
The chain is also known for its open kitchen and cafeteria-like operation where you line up, watch the noodle be made infront of you, and can pick out various tempura and sides for your udon meal.
With over a thousand outposts worldwide, Canada’s first Marugame Udon will be located at Downtown Vancouver’s Beatty Street, a unit that was previously occupied by Fat Burger.
Inside the Bowl
Anticipate a menu brimming with hot, fresh udon and golden tempura – with enough vegetarian options to make your plant-based pals rejoice.
And it’s all served up without burning a hole in your wallet.
There isn’t an exact opening date announced so now is the waiting game. But we’ll keep you up to date when we do learn of the opening day!
