Davie Village just got a little more flavourful!
The vibrant neighbourhood has recently welcomed a new Mexican restaurant and it’s none other than Taqueria Jalisco.

It is the highly rated and beloved brand first opened in Surrey’s Whalley area back in 2006.
Known for its authentic flavours and lively atmosphere, the restaurant expanded to Vancouver’s Denman Street in 2024 and quickly earned rave reviews from locals.
Now, it’s continuing that success with a brand-new location along Davie Street, taking over the former Capital Sports Bar & Grill unit.
The spot soft opened on October 4.

Walking into Taqueria Jalisco feels like stepping into the heart of Mexico.
The colourful decor, upbeat Latin music, and friendly staff create an atmosphere that’s both festive and inviting.
Regulars praise the restaurant for balancing flavour, price, and service a winning trio that keeps people coming back for more.
The menu at the new Davie Street location is an extended version of what fans already love.
Expect favourites like the Birria Pastor Adobada Tacos topped with Pico De Gallo, the massive Monster Burrito, and the ever-comforting Chilaquiles layered with cheese, sauce, and eggs.

For a showstopper dish, the Molcajete Luxe arrives sizzling hot in a traditional stone mortar, while the Torta Ahogada and crispy Churros with Ice Cream round out the experience for those chasing authenticity and indulgence.
Guests can stop by for a quick lunch or settle in for a long evening over margaritas and cocktails.
With its signature good vibes, generous portions, and flavours that transport diners straight to Mexico, Taqueria Jalisco’s new Davie Street location adds even more spice to the West End.
It now joins a growing lineup of exciting new Vancouver food openings, including Pokerrito Renfrew, Kuro Katsu, and Mojo Cantina Izakaya.
