It looks like Vancouver is about to welcome a new Cantonese dessert shop!
A Noms Mag community member (Henry L) spotted signs for Dessert Artisanaux 半亩甜, which is taking over the previous Oiso Korean Kimchi Café unit on Kingsway.
According to the business’s official description, Dessert Artisanaux is dedicated to traditional handcrafted Cantonese desserts that use natural ingredients and serve freshly made treats daily.
Each bowl is said to be not only offer comforting flavors but also provide nourishing health benefits.
Their motto says it all:
“A bowl of Dessert Artisanaux warms the heart. A field of fragrance sweetens dreams.”
Based on the shop’s photos, the menu will feature popular Cantonese desserts like Peach Resin, Sago Desserts, Rice Mochi, and Healthy Tea Drinks.
These desserts look to be served in beautiful handcrafted ceramic bowls and teapots, paired with wooden trays that give a traditional yet minimalist vibe.
The setup feels interactive and thoughtful, showcasing their artisanal craftsmanship and fresh, natural ingredients.
Althought the shop was not open yet, we walked by on Monday to take a look at the interior, and it offers a delightful blend of tradition and modern minimalism.
The space features wooden accents, earthy tones, and decor reminiscent of a classic tea house.
A highlight is the well-inspired centerpiece, which adds a serene touch to the cozy setup.
According to their Google Business listing, they are slated to open to the public on January 1st.
