Back in May, we teased that a new dessert studio cafe is coming to Central Richmond.
Well the time is finally here as they quietly soft-opened the cafe last week.
R Ki Dessert Studio, previously located in Steveston, has now fully moved to a larger unit near Lansdowne Mall, bringing its delightful treats to a more spacious and inviting location.
R Ki Dessert Studio, originally launched by husband-wife duo Rus and Yuki in 2020, is known for its delectable desserts and baked goods.
While Yuki crafts the sweet treats, Rus works his magic with coffee.
In 2021, they split their operations, with R Ki Coffee Lab focusing on coffee roasting, wholesale, and courses, and R Ki Dessert Studio offering an array of delicious mini cakes, cheesecakes, basques, and croissants.
The Steveston location, which opened in October 2022, was a charming yet snug spot with only around four seats.
In May 2023, the dessert studio announced its temporary closure and relocation to a bigger space.
Now, the new location beside Well Tea on Alexandra Road, previously occupied by Superbored clothing store, has quietly soft opened.
R Ki Dessert Studio’s new menu features mouthwatering mini cakes in flavours like mango, blueberry, peach, and strawberry, alongside delicate macarons, snowflake crisps, buttery cookies, and Napoleons in peach, vanilla, and pistachio.
The interior is a haven of coziness and charm.
Soft, natural lighting streams through large windows adorned with sheer white curtains, creating an inviting atmosphere.
Wooden furniture, including a rustic dining table and matching chairs, adds a warm and homey touch. Greenery is strategically placed throughout the space, creating a fresh and relaxing environment.
The overall vibe is casual yet charming, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a peaceful moment.
Yuki and the team are still debating whether they’ll be continuing with their classes they held previously in Steveston.
Judging by the expansive space, it is likely!
