If you have ever been to Lisbon or New York, you know exactly why this announcement is a big deal.

Time Out Market, the global food hall concept that curates the “best of the city” under one roof, has finally revealed the first wave of vendors for its Vancouver location.

This isn’t just another food court opening in a mall.

It is a massive 50,000-square-foot culinary hub at Oakridge Park that is pulling together some of the heaviest hitters in the local food scene.

We are talking about Michelin-recommended spots, Top Chef winners, and the return of a burger legend.

Leading the charge is a name that Commercial Drive locals treat like royalty.

The Michelin-recommended Lunch Lady is officially joining the lineup.

Known for her world-famous noodle soups and that incredible Bourdain-approved backstory, the team is bringing a specific “street food” energy to the market.

It marks a major shift from their intimate dining room on the Drive to serving thousands of people a day.

If you prefer heat over broth, the announcement included another massive local favourite.

Since 2018, Doug Stephen and Lindsey Mann have defined the fried chicken scene in Vancouver.

Now, they are bringing their OG Sandos and mac and cheese to the West Side.

For those who have missed the glory days of “Feenie’s,” there is some serious nostalgia in this lineup too.

Iron Chef Robert Feenie is reviving his casual “Feenie’s” concept at the market.

He will be serving a Wagyu and Gruyere “Market Burger” that nods to his time at Le Crocodile.

The list keeps going with a heavy focus on Southeast Asian flavours, which is exactly what Vancouver does best.

Top Chef Canada winner Chanthy Yen is opening Mee Bar, a Cambodian concept featuring charcoal-grilled meats and curry broths.

Meanwhile, Chef Nutcha Phanthoupheng of Baan Lao is launching MaKaam, introducing a casual spin on her high-end Royal Thai cuisine.

Rounding out the initial six is Barnacle, a seafood bar from the team behind the Michelin-recognized Bar Bravo in the Fraserhood.

The venue itself sounds like a beast.

It will feature 1,000 seats, three bars, and a massive terrace overlooking the new public park.

However, there is one catch that you need to prepare for.

You cannot eat here tomorrow.

The market is currently slated to open in Spring 2026.

It is a long wait, but given that this is the first Time Out Market in Canada outside of Montreal, it will likely be the biggest opening of that year.

Until then, you will have to stick to visiting these chefs at their original locations to get your fix.

We will keep you updated as more vendors are announced in the coming months.
