Bubble waffle fans will want to keep an eye on this one!
We just spotted signage for a new Hong Kongโstyle bubble waffle shop called Egg Lab, and itโs coming soon to Richmondโs Empire Centre Plaza.
They’re taking over the former Fast Go Express storefront.
The exterior sign shows off a bright, playful concept featuring a stack of vibrant bubble waffles in various colours, and a mascot thatโs basically a scientist egg holding a waffle.
Alongside the text “Many Flavours, Freshly Made.”
Possibly with the whole โlabโ theme, it wouldnโt be surprising to see inventive combos or mix-and-match options on the menu.
Just earlier this summer, another local spot brought over the viral bolo bubble waffle from Hong Kong.
Whether we see that make an appearance, we’ll have to wait and see.
And we’ll have to see how they will compare with other bubble waffle specialty shops like Eggette House in Richmond Public Market.
Thereโs no word yet on when Egg Lab plans to open, but a sign posted on the door simply reads: โStay Tuned! Opening Soon!โ
Egg Lab now joins a growing lineup of new food spots coming to Richmond, including Hong Phat, UTown Hot Pot, and Max’s To Go.
