After months of anticipation, Blooming Spice Fish House has officially opened its doors in Richmond.

The new restaurant, which soft-opened in early September, takes over the former Bubble World spot at Diabetes Plaza.

It marks Blooming Spiceโ€™s first location into BC after recently launching two Toronto locations earlier this year.

Known for over 30 years of Sichuan spice mastery, Blooming Spice Fish House is already drawing crowds with its signature Boiling Fish.

The dish is as dramatic as it is delicious, with tender black fish slices swimming in sizzling hot oil and topped with heaps of Sichuan chili and peppercorns.

Other specialties on the menu include Leshan Beef Pot, Braised Spicy Tofu with Beef Tendon, and a wide selection of stir-fries, cold appetizers, and rice dishes.

The interior has been completely revamped from its Bubble World days.

Bold red accents, hanging lanterns, and a modern open dining space create a lively atmosphere that matches the intensity of the food.

It is the kind of setting where the numbing, fiery flavours of Sichuan cuisine truly come alive.

Blooming Spice now joins a wave of recent Richmond openings, including Lรคderach, Oui Patisserie, and U Town Hot Pot, adding to the cityโ€™s ever-expanding roster of diverse dining options.
