Big Way & Cha Don Joins Massive New Asian Food Hall Coming To Tsawwassen Mills

A new massive food hall packed with some of Metro Vancouver’s most popular food brands is heading to the suburbs.

TM Wander is a new 24,000 sq.ft. curated food destination coming to Tsawwassen Mills in Delta.

The project is a collaboration between Ottistry Markets and Tsawwassen Mills, and it features at least 14 food vendors that will operate out of dedicated kiosks inside the mall.

The vendor list reads like a greatest hits of Metro Vancouver’s food scene.

Big Way Hot Pot, Dinesty, Chung Chun Rice Hot Dog, and Cha Don are among the confirmed names.

These are brands that every Vancouverite is familiar with.

The full lineup also includes

“Introducing TM Wander, your next curated food destination bringing Vancouver’s most loved culinary hotspots to the heart of the Mills,” the announcement on the @ottistrymarkets Instagram page reads.

The concept is not a pop-up or a temporary market.

According to the Ottistry website, TM Wander is described as a “long-term curated marketplace” designed to give small food brands a permanent presence inside an established shopping centre.

The food hall will span 18 kiosks and commercial retail units, with a central bar area and a stage for live entertainment, including music performances and weekend themed markets.

The design is said to be inspired by Asian market-style food halls.

Makes sense when you look at the list of Asian food brands.

TM Wander is expected to open in April, though an exact date has not been confirmed.

Tsawwassen Mills is one of the largest outlet malls in the region, located in Delta.

It draws visitors from across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and even across the border from Washington State.

Adding a curated food hall of this size could significantly change the dining options at the mall, which has traditionally relied on a standard food court.

For brands like Big Way Hot Pot, Cha Don and Dinesty, which already have loyal followings in Vancouver and Richmond, a Tsawwassen Mills location puts them in front of a completely new customer base in the South Delta area.
