New Vancouver Cafe Combines Coffee, Pastries and Local Art Opening On West Broadway

It looks like West Broadway is about to get a new hangout spot for both coffee lovers and art fans.

Coming soon signage has gone up for Yar Cafe, a cafรฉ concept that blends specialty coffee, pastries, and community art.

Located in Broadway Centre, Yar Cafe is taking over the former Duet unit, right next door to Salmon nโ€™ Bannock.

The message on the sign teases that it is โ€œmore than a cafรฉ… a space where coffee, art, and people come together. Crafted with love, made for the neighbourhood.โ€

According to their website, Yar Cafe describes itself as โ€œa creative haven in Vancouver,โ€ where the mission is to serve quality coffee and pastries while supporting artistic expression.

The team envisions โ€œa world where coffee culture and artistic expression unite, inspiring creativity and connection in every cup.โ€

The cafรฉ promises a mix of cozy seating and local artwork on the walls.

Collaborations with artists will be central to the concept, with small exhibitions planned and a rotating lineup of pieces from community members.

Local artists are welcome to apply to display their work, with no display fee, though the cafรฉ may take a small commission from any sales.

On the menu, visitors can expect specialty coffee, handpicked to appeal to a range of palates, alongside fresh pastries.

The brand also highlights its eco-friendly values, implementing sustainable practices aimed at reducing its carbon footprint.

For now, an opening date has not yet been announced, but the promise of art and coffee in one creative space is already building anticipation.

Once open, Yar Cafe will join the lineup of new and upcoming Vancouver spots such as TOUK, SUD SOI, and Slo Coffee Downtown.
