An international waffle chain with over 100 locations is officially grand opening its first Vancouver location on Sunday, April 12.
The Waffle Co. is opening the doors at 1725 Robson St in the West End on Sunday, April 12 at 11 AM, with a live DJ and desserts to celebrate.
If the name rings a bell, we previously reported on signs going up at the former Daigyo space for this very spot.
Now it is happening.
The Waffle Co. was founded in 2017 by the same team behind Giani’s Ice Cream, one of India’s most recognized dessert brands.
Since then, they have expanded to over 100 locations across India and have been slowly making their way into Canada.
Their first North American location opened in Surrey back in 2024, followed by a second in White Rock in 2025.
The Robson Street spot marks their first location in Vancouver proper.
The big draw with The Waffle Co. is that everything on their menu is 100 per cent eggless.
That includes their signature crunchy waffles, mini pancakes, thick shakes, and what they call “waffle cakes.”
One of their most popular items is the TWC Special Waffle, which comes loaded with homemade Nutella, crushed brownie, white chocolate, and vanilla ice cream.
They also offer coffee drinks, fruit smoothies, and a range of savoury options.
For anyone with dietary restrictions, the fully eggless menu makes this a more accessible dessert stop than most.
The Waffle Co. joins a growing list of international food brands setting up shop in Vancouver, following the same playbook of starting in the suburbs before moving into the city core.
Their grand opening on Sunday, April 12 kicks off at 11 AM.
