Vegan Fast-Food Brand ‘Odd Burger’ Set To Sprout New Location on Vancouver’s Main Street

Hey, plant-based food aficionados!

Odd Burger, a popular Canadian vegan fast-food chain, has announced its plans to open a location on Main Street in Vancouver, following its recent announcement to open dozens (yes dozens) of new locations in British Columbia and Alberta.

Who is Odd Burger, you ask?

The brand’s origin traces back to 2014 when James McInnes founded Odd Burger as a grassroots vegan organization that primarily brought organic fruit and vegetables from local farmers to customers’ doorsteps. In 2015, Vasiliki partnered with James, and together they started developing vegan meal kits. During this time, they discovered that customers were fond of their vegan fast food recipes.

Odd Burger had its breakout moment in 2016 at the London, Ontario Ribfest, where the now-famous Odd Burger was introduced. The vegan burger proved so popular it sold out, causing quite a stir and drawing significant media attention throughout North America.

Capitalizing on this success, the company launched a food truck, which took their vegan fast food to communities across Ontario. The food truck was met with huge support, with customers coming out in droves.

In 2017, Odd Burger made history by opening Canada’s first vegan fast-food restaurant. Six months later, they again broke new ground by launching the world’s first 24-hour vegan drive-thru. The company then expanded further in 2018 by opening its own manufacturing centre where food is produced and research and development take place.

A year back, the brand confirmed its ambitious expansion plans, signing a franchise deal for 36 new Odd Burger locations across BC and Alberta in the next seven years.

Taking over a spot on the lively Main Street next to Maizal, the Vancouver outpost is the next step in Odd Burger’s mission to bring their popular vegan offerings to the Western Canada food scene.

The space will be brimming with an inviting ambience, where diners can relax and enjoy their plant-based delights. While exact details about the interior are yet to be unveiled, we’re expecting the brand’s usual blend of chic simplicity and eco-friendly design elements.

Odd Burger’s menu is set to bring their crowd-pleasers to Vancouver. From their Famous Burger, an audacious vegan take on the Big Mac with chickpea patties, to refreshing salads, decadent desserts and shakes, there’s something to satisfy every palate.

The Famous Burger is an absolute must-try! With house-made chickpea patties sandwiched between crispy lettuce, tangy pickles, and their special sauce, it’s a bold statement in the world of plant-based fast food.

To wash down your meal, keep an eye out for their diverse range of beverages. And remember, no meal at Odd Burger is complete without indulging in one of their vegan desserts.

While no official opening date has been announced yet, Odd Burger promises to open its doors on Main Street soon.
