Richmond Food Court Stall Quietly Closes Just 3 Months After Opening

It looks like things are moving fast in the Richmond food court scene.

A Noms Mag community member spotted that Bubble Waffle Cafe in the Parker Place food court has already shut down.

The stall only opened back in early November 2025.

That means it lasted roughly three months before closing its doors.

Bubble Waffle Cafe took over the previous Best Rice Roll unit in the food court.

Similar to other locations in the chain, it offered Hong Kong-style noodle soup combos along with its signature bubble waffles.

Except the Parker Place location was actually the cheapest in the entire chain.

The combos here were priced at $11.50, compared to around $14.50 at Aberdeen Centre or Lansdowne Centre.

For regulars who were hoping to save a dollar on their noodle fix, this one stings.

The closure appears to have happened on February 2nd, 2026.

People on Red Note were caught off guard since the stall was still operating as of the weekend before.

We walked by the food court and confirmed the unit has been completely cleared out.

Someone was doing a deep clean of the kitchen space when we passed by.

It was a quick turnaround that nobody saw coming.

For those unfamiliar, Parker Place has long been a food court frequented by Richmond locals and the elderly.

It is one of those gems that still has some of the most affordable food in the city.

While prices have gone up across the region, many of the stalls here still hover around the $12 mark.

That is increasingly rare in Metro Vancouver these days.

The food court has a loyal following of regulars who have been coming here for tens of years.

As for what is coming next, we will have to wait and see.

It does look like someone has already taken over the unit, so now it is just a waiting game for the next concept.

Bubble Waffle Cafe Parker Place now joins a growing list of recently closed food spots in Richmond like Villa Vietnamese at Lansdowne, Milko, and Tea Industries.
