It looks like one of Vancouver’s loved spots for classic, affordable Italian comfort food is growing again.
Jo’s Italian Deli announced on November 4 through their Instagram that they’re opening a new location along Main Street.
The family-owned deli will be setting up shop in the new development across from The Acorn Restaurant, taking one of the ground-floor retail spaces.
Known for their freshly made pastas, hearty sandwiches, and selection of imported Italian groceries, Jo’s Italian Deli has built a strong following since opening their first Chilliwack store in 2018.
The menu originally began with just four sandwiches and a few pantry staples before expanding to include pasta dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine alfredo, and rigatoni pesto cream.
In 2021, Jo’s brought their comforting Italian flavours to Vancouver with a location at Alma and Broadway.
That outpost quickly became a local favourite, especially among UBC students, for its affordable prices and family-style recipes.
A year later, the team launched Mangia’s, a sister concept in South Granville focused solely on sandwiches.
Now, Jo’s is making its way to Mount Pleasant!
While specific details about the Main Street menu haven’t been shared yet, it’s likely to include their signature lineup of fresh pastas, Italian sandwiches, and specialty grocery items.
Jo’s Italian Deli’s upcoming Main Street expansion adds to the wave of new Vancouver food spots, joining Goldie’s Vancouver, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Amber Kissa.
