Pop Mart is making its return to Richmond with something special for Labubu, Molly, and blind box collectors!
A Noms Mag community member (@megannara on Tiktok) spotted signage this week for an official Pop Mart store being put up at CF Richmond Centre.
This will be their only official Pop Mart store in Canada—though technically the brand did have a previous location in Richmond called Pop Mart Binggo at Union Square Shopping Centre in 2021.
The store later dropped the Pop Mart name and has been operating simply as Binggo.
According to a report by Vancouver Sun, a Pop Mart rep said Binggo was a reseller although the official Pop Mart Instagram did claim it was the first North American Pop Mart store.
For those that don’t know, Pop Mart is a China-based toy company founded in 2010 by Wang Ning.
It is best known for collectible toys sold in “blind box” formats, meaning customers don’t know which specific toy they’ll get until they open it.
Its most famous character is Labubu, designed by Hong Kong illustrator Kasing Lung, who released the character originally through his “The Monsters” series.
Labubu and related figures have become central to Pop Mart’s global rise, helped by collaborations with artists and celebrity endorsements.
While Pop Mart has placed vending machines and partnered resellers throughout Canada (especially in Metro Vancouver), this new store would mark the brand’s comeback in full store-form.
This upcoming official store will be located right beside the Apple Store in CF Richmond Centre.
At the moment there is no additional info about opening date, hours, or inventory, but fans are expecting that “toys and drops” (new collectible releases) will be available.
For fans of Pop Mart’s figures, this is big.
This kind of full storefront gives more certainty for authenticity, restocks, and access compared to resellers.
