Barely a week after opening its first Burnaby location, one of Metro Vancouver’s fastest-growing ramen chains is already launching another one.

The Kinton Ramen team shared with Noms Magazine that they are soft-opening their first Coquitlam location this Sunday, February 15, at Sunwood Square in the Coquitlam Town Centre area.

The new spot is just a couple of stores down from Cora, and will have 35 seats.

This is Kinton’s first location in the Tri-Cities, an area that has been steadily attracting more restaurant openings over the past year.

For anyone who has not tried Kinton yet, the Toronto-born chain has been around since 2012.

They are known for their rich, slow-simmered broths made from a blend of pork bone stock, chicken stock, fish broth, and fresh vegetables.

There is also a solid appetizer lineup, including gyoza, karaage, and takoyaki, plus rice bowls for anyone not in a noodle mood.

It is comfort food done right, the kind of bowl that warms you up on a cold February evening.

With Coquitlam, Kinton Ramen will have 10 locations across British Columbia, including spots on Robson, Broadway, UBC, Marine Gateway, North Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria, and Kelowna.

Another location in the works is the brand’s first Richmond outpost, which is going to be situated at the McArthurGlen Outlet.
