Gastown is about to get a serious dose of nostalgia soon!

Aureliana, a retro-inspired diner bringing all-day breakfast, old-school burgers, and classic deli sandwiches is landing in the neighbourhood this spring.

If you’ve ever craved pancakes at midnight or a hearty Trucker Breakfast after a long night out, this one’s for you.

Helmed by Chef Akam Bains, Aureliana will serve American diner staples done right—no frills, just great ingredients and solid technique.

Chef Akam shared with Noms Magazine that the menu will keep it simple but satisfying, letting quality and execution take center stage.

Expect Bacon & Eggs, Bennys, and stacked deli sandwiches, alongside old-fashioned burgers with a timeless appeal.

And for the adventurous crowd, Chef Akham has something up his sleeve and says they should expect some unique twists.

But Aureliana’s home in Gastown isn’t just a coincidence—it’s a love letter to the area’s rich history.

The 30-seater space will pay homage to Vancouver’s downtown dining scene of the ’80s and ’90s, complete with retro decor, neon lights, and a killer soundtrack.

And if you love an open kitchen experience, you’ll like this spot.

Aureliana’s layout puts the chefs front and center, turning the kitchen into the main attraction.

“We’re exactly what the people in the area have been craving,” Bains shares.

Aureliana will join a lineup of new downtown Vancouver food spots, including Sainam, Chocolat Favoris, Jerusalem Shawarma, and La Taqueria.
