After 12 years of serving sizzling Korean BBQ to locals, Richmond’s Gang Nam BBQ has officially closed its doors.
We spotted a closure notice posted on the restaurant’s door at Empire Centre confirming the news, thanking customers for their loyalty over the years.
“After 12 years of service, we will be permanently closing down after September 28th, 2025,” the message reads. “Though we may be gone, our memories with you will last forever.”
Gang Nam BBQ first opened in 2013, and its menu ranged from hearty hot pots and japchae to BBQ combo sets featuring pork belly, bulgogi, and beef tongue.
However, in recent years, online reviews have hinted at a decline in both service and food quality, with customers noting inconsistency compared to its earlier days.
With its closure, Gang Nam BBQ joins a growing list of Richmond restaurants that have recently shuttered, including Grill Party, Kumo Sukiyaki Alexandra, and iTofu.
