If you walk or drive around Richmond, you may notice that there are a lot of changes happening in the city.
One change we spotted was After Party Club Cafe, which was a blend of fun, food, and photogenic spots, has quietly shut down.
When exactly it closed, we’re unsure.
Some Google reviews say May 2024, while Yelpers points to October 2023.
Who knows?
But we do know that their signage is now etched off (it was still there in June 2024) the second level of the building and the business is tagged as permanently closed on Google.
This late-night Asian fusion cafe restaurant opened back in October 2021, was a unique hangout spot for groups to enjoy snacks, bubble tea, cocktails, and games.
In recent years, there have been fewer spots for locals to enjoy food and board games past 10 PM.
After Party Club Cafe was finally a spot to fill that gap.
Stepping into After Party Club Cafe was like entering a playful wonderland. The wall of Bearbricks, books, and games set the tone.
They had their aesthetics on point.
Inside it was an Instagrammer’s dream with countless spots perfect for snapping pics.
For those seeking a more private experience, After Party offered fully-themed private rooms.
Whether you wanted to relive school days in a classroom setting or immerse yourself in a Japanese-styled room, there was a perfect space for board game nights with friends.
The menu was a delightful journey through Asian fusion cuisine.
Dirty Fries, Spicy Crawfish Noodles, Black Truffle Pork Belly, Mentaiko Egg Toast, and Beijing Smoked Duck Breast were among the crowd-pleasers.
But as quietly as it opened, After Party Club Cafe seemed to have silently shut its doors, with no post on its social media since September 2022.
Its absence marks another change in Richmond’s evolving food scene, where many beloved spots have recently closed and been replaced.
