If you have been waiting for a new dessert fix on Richmond’s “Eat Street,” the wait is over.
Back in August 2025, we spotted signage going up for a new bakery called Savor Hill right beside Tang Vietnamese on Alexandra Road.
As of today, January 9th, the doors are officially open.
Savor Hill specializes in one specific obsession: Meat Floss Cakes, a popular Asian sweet-savoury cake.
If the concept sounds familiar, you might know them by their former name.
The team previously sold these cakes online under the brand Biguri Cakes, and this marks their very first physical storefront.
Stepping inside, the shop has shed its construction boards to reveal a warm, minimalist aesthetic.
The interior features a striking stone feature wall, light wood benches, and soft beige tones that make the space feel cozy and modern.
It’s small, designed mostly for grab-and-go, but there is a little seating if you can’t wait to dig in.
We stopped by on day one to check out the goods.
The glass display is lined with trays of fluffy cakes coated in various flavours of meat floss, including Nori, Salted Egg, Lemon Yogurt, Oreo Chocolate, and Crab Meat.
A key detail for dietary preferences: these cakes are made using chicken floss instead of the traditional pork.
We grabbed the Oreo Chocolate and Crab Meat flavours and were genuinely surprised by the size.
These things are literally the size of a small fist.
Texture-wise, expect a “sweet meets salty” experience.
The cake itself is incredibly fluffy, filled with a salty mayo cream, and coated in savoury floss.
If you want to secure a box, you need to move fast.
During the soft opening phase (Jan 9th to Jan 23rd), they are limiting production to 200 buns per day.
As a bonus, everything is 10% off during this period.
While the meat floss cakes are the star for now, the shop plans to expand the menu soon.
Once they get settled, look out for Cream Donuts and a drinks menu to be added to the lineup.
Savor Hill joins a busy season of openings in Richmond, alongside Smart N Save at Garden City, Hong Kong Pai Pai, and Butter & Joy.
