If you were hoping to grab a honeycomb ice cream near the Richmond Oval, you are out of luck.
The longtime Milk Cow location shut down abruptly this summer after four years in business.
The space at 5668 Hollybridge Way didn’t stay empty for long, though.
We finally know who has taken over the unit.
A new concept called Protein Go quietly opened its doors last month.

This isn’t just a random juice bar, either.
The concept was created by Marco Choi, a local entrepreneur and personal fitness coach.
That background explains why the menu is so strictly focused on macros.
We took a look at the menu board, and the numbers are impressive.
Every single drink packs at least 20 grams of Premium Whey Protein.

They are using Canadian-sourced ingredients to blend up real fruit smoothies like Creamy Pineapple and Strawberry Banana.
But the real surprise is the “Protein Drinks” section.
You can actually get a Hong Kong Milk Tea, Earl Grey, or Matcha Latte spiked with whey protein.
If you prefer to chew your calories, they also have a food menu.

We spotted Banh Mi sandwiches, chicken bone broth soup, and spinach egg white bites.
The location is honestly strategic genius.
It is situated right across from the Richmond Olympic Oval and steps away from the Rumble boxing gym.
It is basically a trap for anyone walking out of a workout with shaky legs.
Protein Go also joins a growing wave of Richmond recently opened food spots like The Seoulful, O Bistro Tianjin, and Trees Organics Capstan.
