Richmond’s food lovers, brace yourselves for a delicious new addition!
After weeks of watching and waiting, the new signage for Yummy Dumpling has finally gone up, marking a fresh start for the space once occupied by Hot Oden at Continental Shopping Centre.
In a bold move, Yummy Dumpling has chosen to showcase its entire menu on large screens outside the restaurant.
Forget the tidy, conventional look; these screens went up well before the official restaurant name signage and even before the interior was complete.
So, what can you expect from Yummy Dumpling?
As the name suggests, dumplings and buns will be their main stars.
Think pan-fried pork or beef dumplings, steamed beef or pork dumplings, steamed pork or beef buns, and pan-fried pork or beef buns.
But that’s not all.
They’ll also offer various snacks like wonton soup, sweet or salty tofu pudding, and hot soya milk.
Richmond is already home to some beloved dumpling spots like Lansdowne’s R&H, Admiralty Food Court (although Long’s peace’d out), Delicious Dim Sum, and Suhang.
How will Yummy Dumpling compare?
That’s the big question.
While we’re excited about this new addition, details are still sparse.
There’s no word yet on the opening date, but it seems to be either within this month or in August.
What we do know is that Yummy Dumpling is part of a wave of changes happening in Richmond’s vibrant food scene.
