Looks like the ‘for sale’ signs just keep popping up across Richmond’s food scene.
It really highlights how tough the competition and economy continue to hit the industry.
The latest spot we’ve spotted hitting the market is A Bao Time, located just steps from the Richmond-Brighouse Canada Line station.
A Bao Time just opened its doors back in March 2024, offering baos, dumplings, dim sum, and other Asian breakfast staples.
All of that in a rather affordable price.
They also offered their items frozen, so customers could easily cook them up at home.
But just a few over a year into operation, the business is listed for sale with an asking price of $388,000.

According to the listing, the 788-sq.ft spot boasts a prime location with high visibility and foot traffic, sitting directly across from Richmond Centre.
The listing pitches it as a turnkey operation with a loyal customer base and steady cash flow, offering the buyer the option to continue with the existing “A Bao Time” brand or bring in their own concept.
Will A Bao Time find a new owner to carry the torch, or will this prime location soon house something entirely different?
We’ll be keeping an eye out.

Note: The observation of a commercial listing does not inherently imply the closure of a business. It is possible that the establishment is undergoing a change in ownership or maybe in the process of relocating. The purpose of reporting on such listings is to provide insight into the dynamic nature of the local food industry and its evolving landscape.
