Richmond’s Popular HK-Style Food Stall Launches New Noodle Concept [MENU]

It looks like another local favourite is growing again.

Earlier this month, we noticed some quiet renovations happening at one of the empty stalls inside Richmond’s President Plaza food court.

Fast forward to today, popular HK-style food stall ChaDon has officially revealed that the space is home to their new concept, Noodle Don.

We stopped by (anonymously) on their first day of soft opening to check it out.

The menu focuses on two main offerings: chicken and rice, and a build-your-own noodle concept.

The noodle section lets customers mix and match their bowls by choosing from two soup bases, three sauce options, several noodle types, and over 25 different toppings.

It is sorta giving Bubble Waffle Cafe, but without the paper to tick off your toppings.

You have to tell the staff your full build out.

For our visit, we went with the clear soup and satay sauce combination, topped with fish balls, chicken wings, beef tendon, and Chinese mushrooms.

Each noodle bowl comes with a hot drink, but we opted to upgrade to a cold lemon tea for an extra $1.50.

Because it was their first day, some toppings weren’t quite ready yet and the stall was understandably slammed with orders.

But the team handled the rush with friendly energy and has a ton of experience considering how busy Cha Kee and Cha Don gets daily.

Their chicken rice options also caught our attention, with versions like poached chicken with ginger and scallion sauce and a spicy chicken variation that looked especially tempting.

Noodle Don marks an interesting addition to the ChaDon family, which also operates the popular Cha Kee stall in the same food court.

President’s Plaza food court is one that only locals know and frequent.

And it has its fair share of rough times and turnover.

Now Noodle Don is giving it some more new energy.

Noodle Don now joins other recently opened Richmond food spots like Sushi Lovers, 100E Fruit, and Drama Hot Pot.
